Ingredients:

³⁄₄ cup butter
³⁄₄ cup sugar
1 egg white
1 ³⁄₄ cups all purpose flour
¹⁄₃ cup blanched almonds, finely chopped
4 unblanched almonds, finely chopped

Instructions

1. Mix thoroughly butter, sugar and egg white. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cover; chill 2 hours.

2. Heat oven to 350 degrees.

3. Press dough about 1/8 inch thick on bottom and side of each ungreased sandbuckle mold. Place on baking sheet. Bake 12 to 15 minutes.

4. Cool. Tap molds to loosen cookies.

Yield: 3 dz
